I'm thinking about starting a warrior, but I wanted to be a kobold warrior and it looks like that could be a head ache. I would do it tonight but I have some stuff to do after work. I guess I could do another race :-(

I had this nasty bug last night, where I couldn't even bring the trainer window up, I worked it out with a clean install+patch. For those people with WinXP, just use the patch and forget about the launcher, it isn't needed to play there.

I've the lvl 7 aug healer in Mid, Jude! Although, I just found out most of my peoples are in Hibernia already, talk about miscommunication prior to playing a new server. But other than that one thing with the trainer window, I haven't had any issues playing in Midgard so far, I'm talking like 2-3 hrs in a row without any hicups whatsoever.

IF you're thinking about rerolling on Mid, make a dwarf/kobold <anyclasshere>! Dwarf Nation!

What Goobles said about P99 launch is correct, all these freeshards that pop up, did NOT have the population they have now, and they weren't as polished as they are now either. You're forgetting some simple truths here, P99 came up in late 2009, and Uthgard in 2005 (or thereabout)!

Uthgard especially...I played it back in 2006-2007, when its top population was 60 at peak times, because alot of things on it weren't working, period, and there were other servers that had shit working already.

It takes time for new servers to mature, it's alot like that with live games also. If they were so perfect on release, there wouldn't be so many patches thereafter! Anyone want to remember what EQ was like on it's release in 1999??

I keep going back to wanting to roll a warrior but Trolls are so huge and blah looking, and all the other races are at a huge disadvantage strength wise.

Strength isn't everything, sometimes being small and nimble can go a long way! Not to mention most people in RvR will take you for a shaman, at first glance anyway. I used to be a Kobold Skald on a server called Purga, prior to Uthgard, and I was very successful regardless of the lower strength.

If you make a Kobold Warrior, with their naturally higher dex than everyone else, your Shield blocking will be that much better than the next guy's. Especially if you start speccin into Shield right off the bat.

So I just found out that most of my Uthgard pals are in Hibernia already and L50s to boot. I was kinda hoping they'd be in Midgard, so much for communication prior to playing!

Is anyone here planning to roll in Hibernia? I was thinking of making a Mentalist (mana regen, health regen, among some other things), it's like a daoc version of EQ Enchanter, to a degree. If anyone wants to play a caster or a bard or druid, or anything really, let me know in this thread, cause I'm thinking of rerolling into Hibernia, cause as it stands right now, I have no friends in Midgard, they're all in Hibernia, and one in Albion.

I was going to roll a warrior and look ya up, but I was able to find a group right away on my lv 45 sav, so I went with it. Good luck no mater what you chose to do.

Couldn't get the ball rolling on midgard. Lag was killer, npc dialogue is all foreign, groups not avail at off hours, mobs were all spaced out. Had to scour the map to find a single mob my char could defeat.

Going to give hibernia or albernia w/e a shot but my patience is wearing thin at this point.

Too many Hibs, go Albion if anything, although I'm not having any problems in Midgard aside from the zone freezes which they're working on.
