Just crashed again after being up for only a few minutes. From what I'm reading on the forums people are giving up on the server and going back to Uthgard (which I won't do because my two favorite classes aren't fully implemented). RIP Origins.

This shit has been out less than a week with a population more than double what they expected. Chill the hell out and give them time to work it out. Like seriously, it's been released for less than a week. What the hell do you expect out of a free shard?

They screwed some code up, bad. They even said as much. They were attempting to fix zerg xp and make some performance improvements and screwed something up bad. It's not a population issue because zones freeze and the server crashes even with under 500 players. Someone screwed some code up bad enough that the server is unplayable, and if they don't fix it soon the server will die and people will go back to Uthgard and laugh about it. That's just how it is. It's probably already happening but I don't bother with Uthgard anymore.

I wish you guys were around for the launch of P99 where the only viable place to get to 50 was SolA, and that was by doing Gnomes because Guk and SolB had TERRIBLE exp. It would take 3 kills to get one blue 'tick'.

Keep an eye on that over the next few days because unless this server issue is fixed that 400 will slowly climb back toward 1.1k, maybe even not slowly.

Not even close to the problem Origins is having right now though. I'll take that sort of problem any day over a critical and frequent server stability issue.

I dunno what it is about Origins, maybe because it's new or something but holy shit the community is so acidic and nasty. I've encountered more assholes in these past couple days than I have in my entire time spent here on P99. It really makes me appreciate what we have here.

Well, I found myself late last night longing for eq. It was 4 am, and I was so tired and had been wanting to leave for a few hours, but no clerics were to be had. But I can understand what you are saying about the community. I can care less about the technical issues, that will happen at first of launch and until they iron things out. But the community, at least from my experience so far has been not so great either.

I made an alt cabalist just for the heck of it, never really played a caster class when I did play DAOC... So I reach lvl 3, and got a new spell, and clicked the info. Not even 10 seconds later, a guy yells at me for being afk (wow). So just a bunch of things like that all day- no patience, not much kindness, and ridiculous expectations. And it could very well be I had some bad luck with the people I ran into, as there were a few nice gems in the modge podge of coal.

I think I got my 72 hour thrill out of it, but out of the time I do have to play, doubt I will invest more than 10% of my playing time there. If anything, may just craft there, loved the crafting system there back in the day.
