Sweet!

It's not uncommon for a good private server to reach 1k population, whether or not this one will be good remains to be seen.

I just feel like there's plenty of EQEmu PvP servers in this space. Image and DevNoob are doing a great job with Red69, and the Red99 release will kind of culminate the pvp servers. With the population, there really isn't even room for 2 servers, much less 3.

I'll keep the VZTZ server running as long as there's players on it - but there hasn't been any players on it for days...lol

I just finished up, and tested the code that elminates instanced PvE. Things like UBRS, BRD, Molten Core, Strat...They are still instanced, but everyone on the server shares the same instance. No more scurrying into a PvE instance to escape PVP!

I'll have the server up tonight at latest. Doing some final testing, and getting the website put up (required for account creation and such), with info on the client, the patches you need (which should all be obtainable from fileplanet). And the server info you need to get logged in.

One of the major things that WOW failed to realize was the need for competition. By making MC and the other raid zones instanced there really was no epic fights for zone control against good/evil. This statement alone will entice me to check this out, I hope you get some help but it sounds like a great WOW pvp experience.

With all of the raid zones being shared instances what is the respawn time on the bosses going to be?

Are you planning on adding in BC/Wrath/Cataclysm in the future?

We use to have epic battles back before Burning Crusade, this being on a PVE server. It was usually Tarren Mill vs South Shore. Went something like this: Horde lures a couple of lowbie alliances to flag for PVP, kill them, battle horn goes out across azeroth, 600 alliance heroes come to the rescure versus 100 horde scum! (j/k!). Anyways, horde and alliance battle it out, whenever one side begins to lose they run back to there guards at tarren mill (horde) and south shore (alliance), and back then guards could smear your ass all over the floor. Fun times!

Also to be noted, if you are planning on checking the server out - I'd roll Alliance. Horde side blew up this weekend it seems with the wave of new players. It's pretty heavily weighed on horde side now for population.

Though if you are set on Horde, I believe Freaky said there would be free faction changes to balance things when the server called for it anyways.

I really havent put any thought into expansions yet, but if in the future, the population supports expanding - that wont be a problem, the content is readily available...more so in fact than the older clients and content.

Currently instance spawning / reset is on a fixed timer, like it was on live WoW. I have full control over that timer, and I plan on integrating it into a player command to check the time. When a force capable of raiding that content enters the zone, it'll start the timer, whether they complete the instance or not. The full way I implement this will be up for discussion, but currently it's a flat time till the instance fully resets.

I think there will be some seriously strategic fights for content, especially after a raid force clears through something like MC...the further in you get, the higher chance there'll be for competition!

I'm getting the website up now, should be up in the next 30 minutes or so, just doing some finishing touches on it, and getting it hooked to the database, the website will have the following features:

1.) Create Login Accounts
2.) Check your chars and their profiles
3.) Player view (gear, quests, honor...etc)
4.) World map, with player marking (for discussion)
5.) Auction house listing
6.) Forums, tied to your in game char / profile
7.) Players online / Guilds Online / GM's Online
8.) Voting bonuses on the site (to be discussed) - The bonuses can be things like gold, character recustomization...etc
9.) More to come....

Any add-ons that worked durring the 1.12.1 / 1.12.2 phase of the game, will work and be available to use, unless it's determined that it compromises fair play, the server integrity, or otherwise is considered a hack / cheat. In which case server side I have the ability to block add-ons.

Are you going to do anything like donator gear or keep it an even playing field for everyone?
