WoW PvP Server [Vanilla]
 

For those interested...and I know there's a few - I've almost completed work on a vanilla wow pvp server. It uses the client 1.12.1, which you can read more about here:

It utilizes a server side database that's accurate for the time, it's compiled in c++, and runs off mysql, not that much different than eqemu to be honest. The open source software it's built on is called Mangos, which is nowhere near as mature as the EQEmu installation, but overall not bad.

Have you tested all the quests? and scripted the bosses?

I've been waiting for Project Westfall to finish testing. But its been almost a year so far lol.

They use Mangos to.

I've just started testing, but everything I've come across so far is working just fine.

i know project westfall is looking for developers. should give them a look.

Making a classic server by your self seems like alot of work. =X

No offense man, I'm sure it's going to be a lot of work - but not really interested in jumping into a project that's been going a year with no release. Sounds kind of like eqclassic.org to me.

People who refer to pre-BC WoW as 'Vanilla' are usually terrible. This thread really should be in off-topic since it has nothing to do with P99 PvP.
