We have awarded guises at GM events, however, which is classic. Events are few and far between at the moment, due to development time, but we will have more. Not saying its likely to get a guise at a GM event with hundreds of people, but its possible.

I would give my left nut (the good one) for a pre nerf guise

The problem with this is that it is not "Classic". So how can you get around that and still be "Classic"? It was classic to have GM events that included rewards. Since they were given out at the discretion of the GMs, in theory, you could still be classic and put some special items into circulation...

I think the whole problem with this "They should have those classic artifacts drop again just because of me" thinking is it never ends.
You're not more special than anyone else - and as much as I would love to have a guise, or have camped a manastone, I know I came to the server too late. That's all there is to it. Having those items drop again destroys the integrity of the server progression and would cause more problems than many realize. Because just letting you have a chance to get one means letting everyone and their mom have a chance to get one. If you want a server that's trying its hardest to stick to the classic timeline and protocol, this is the place. If you want a server that just gives you whatever you want, try out EZ server. I bet you'll get bored very quickly.

I agree with that, but what im saying is that I think many, many people (myself included) are hesitant or even reluctant to play without the chance to get a pre-nerf guise believe it or not.. and its an item that really adds to the flavour of the "Classic" feel. maybe the solution is to make them more availible through GM events or PVP events, or something.. I think it would be a big thing to allow new prospective players to have a realstic hope that if they work hard at it, that they could acquire a guise at some point and in order to do that through GM events, there would have to be quite a few opportunities to get one

Sticking to the classic timeline and protocol is more important than drawing in players who refuse to play unless they can get pre-nerf classic items.
PvP Events or GM events to get those items most definitely do not stick to the classic timeline or protocol. No dice.

Kadios, understand the reason behind the Guise's value is it's rarity. That being said, the whole premise of rereleasing an item like this inherently drops it's value thus negating any reason to even desire it.

Question which I think I know the answer to anyway, but I'll ask just for clarity:
If a monk has a Guise and they use "flying kick"...The dark elf model does what? Just regular kick?

Check server population on 3/25 (or today for that matter) and tell me the devs actions are depriving this server of a vibrant playerbase.
