Hmm...if the monk is already engaged I would not consider it a train. Just a risk you take attacking a monk/sk/necro. I also wouldn't consider it a train if you attacked a monk and he ran off into mobs and FD'd. If you follow him you know the risk. Part of the game, using the abilities at your classes disposal. I would define training as bringing a mob from one spot to another and intentionally transferring agro to another player, via zoning/gating/FD/whatever.

good to see some nillys arent all eldermorans. common sense wins. attack a monk on a mob with EXTREME CAUTION
Lets be honest Sam..

GM rulings on the server are based on their mood, their interpretation or the rule and who you are.

The rule still stands, transferring aggro from one player to another is considered illegal.

With that said.. monks get away with a lot of trains..

nope, you attack anyone engaged with a mob, your safety from pve is not guaranteed or protected.

It should be as what in theory cops are supposed to do in real life. They are there to apply the law, and not interpret it. Thats why i dislike PnP and would like, if we cant have nice things without it, that it stays as simple as possible to make it as intuitive as possible. The fact i have to ask questions like this is another proof of the clusterfuck it is. But i dont have the energy to fight this, especially because i understand that the ratio of angry, bitter griefers is higher here than on Rallos.

Even PK crews like Artful Death and Flowers of Happiness back then mixed in humour in their PKing, Nuuk from AD used to say he was gonna "sketch a portrait" in OOC while he was looking for targets, not the kind of full on humourless toxic black hate that is common here on forums and in-game. It was still "classy".

Anyhow that Derubael quote answers it for me.

If you want though elderan, feel free to quote me the part of the PnP rules that you think labels a monk FDing while getting jumped, a train.

So because a monk is soloing when someone tries to pk him, the monk is required to tank two targets OR run away and magically drop aggro while being pursued? Someone help me out, this guy is a troll right.

First, he's not a troll. He's the count with assburgers.

Second, if someone attacks you while fighting something, you can FD it off. If it aggros them, its their fault for risking something like that.

I was hoping to see what the count was in VP last night per Elderan's math. The guy is nuts and if you realize that he can be funny to read.
