If a high, or any, level group gets a necro just for feeding mana, that's a horribly played group.

Either is a good choice and really if you like them both you should have hem both at 60 before long so the real question is which to take to 60 first. My first 60 toon on the server was a halfling war and I wouldnt change that if I could. Sure it was hard going at times but overcoming hardship is so much more rewarding when you do accomplish your goals. Sure necros can solo farm better but By the time my war was 60 I had hundreds of thousands of pp from levelling in groups in seb/kc/hs/freeti and doing other cash activities (like helping people with epic mobs where non epic loot is distributed to the group. Camping your own gear is usually more fun than farming for it anyway. More variety.
Warriors are used at every raid I can think of. Necros have much utility. Outside of the typical manabattery role they are also exceptionally good at getting FTE which on this server is pretty much the most important thing to end game raiding success next to camping out and tracking. Either would be a solid first 60. Id suggest powering one to 60 before focusing on the 2nd one though. | ||

This is EQ, there's no limits on how many you can zerg a raid target with so you don't have to worry about winning a spot based on usefullness. Just play whats fun to you.
