You need to be grouped to dispel on blue servers. It should be the same restrictions on red. Dispels are detrimental when cast on anything but group members. When cast on group members it is not considered detrimental.

No, level 1 dispelling level 60 isnt how it should be. This will be mighty annoying and hopefully not fixed in 6 months.

It's irrelevant what kind of spell Dispel is flagged as. If it were governed by the same rules as other beneficial spells then it never would've been usable against mobs.

Dispel's potentially dual purpose is why it required the caster to be grouped with the target, because the system can't infer player intent. Later they realized that the environment on the PvP servers necessitated a special rule to allow the spell to also be used in a harmful context against other players.

This isn't difficult to understand.

No it wasn't treated like that on PvP servers. I assure you good sir.

If you spammed an egg shaped on someone who conned blue but wasn't in your range, you got no effect.

If you saw "so and so looks dispelled" you started your nuke.

Yes day 1 RZ had 4 levels to the end of its classic days.

You had to be in level range else you were protected.

Dueling was a work around.

Friedchicken was pelling my charmed elephants in south karana while out of range of me. Thats been in game since day 1.

UNless im remembering wrong and he was pelling snares off npcs either way was funny
