![]() The Gaffe guide and Japanese guide say different things.
From Gaffe: Quote:
The Japanese part from below the "Halas" heading: Quote:

Either way the way you did it seems legitimate, so hopefully you can get the reimbursement, and either have the quest changed so both options are possible, or just one is and its made clear so no other skins are lost in vain! Hope the translation helps, I'm bored!

![]() Najdorf's Graffe link isn't actually from December 2000, as it includes the broken golem and the golem wasn't added until several months later.
This is the actual December 2000 link: http://web.archive.org/web/200012130...type/index.htm Which has the text: Quote:
And the Japanese website is not a translation of other walkthroughs, that is their actual walkthrough that they were developing as they found new details. You'll notice at the bottom what is basically a "changelog" of what was updated on the guide (in regards to the skin portion of the quest that took a while to figure out due to the skin hardly dropping on live) as time passed from October 5th to completion by Winday (December 25th). This is the same place where I found out that Arantir is supposed to drop the Robe of Recovery (aka the no rent clarity robe), which no other website on the internet had the details of, so it's pretty legit as far as fact finding goes. I'm the one that recommended to San that he hand the note to Arantir based on these guides, as they were the only ones I could find that had dates relevant to our timeline (and I hate going off the wiki for things like this). Hopefully nilbog sees it as enough evidence to warrant reimbursement, because the feeling we all had when nothing happened after the note was turned in sucked major dong, especially for me since I'm the one that told him to turn it into Arantir.

![]() If you think about the storyline, Arantir is incognito, hiding as Dargon in Halas. So you want to talk to Dargon and give him the note. Same with the ring earlier on.
If Arantir is up its most likely going to be the intermediate Arantir spawn that hasn't depopped. You can tell which it is by hailing him. Quote:

![]() Raavak -- yes, you should be able to hand the note into Dargon as well. But the point of this bug is to point out that you could also turn the note into the first Arantir for the same effect. Also, in a lot of the earlier guides (such as those that I have linked in the original post), it appears that it may have been the only option starting out, and patched later.
