Pets of a high enough level dual wield without needing weapons. I'd wager a guk shaman's pet is high enough for that.
Pets that inherently can equip weapons are the only ones that should be getting automatic dual wield.

Well it looks like you might be onto something. What I'm seeing so far from the newsgroups is that Shaman pets didn't dual wield.

: damage matters too.

Yes it does. The necro pet dual wields. The shaman pet does not
so the damage margin is a bit wider than 7 points.

Because the level 55 Shaman pet *is* a level 44 Necro pet.

Without Dual Wield.

They don't. Dogs don't dual wield [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Necro pets get dual wield at 29. I'm not sure when magician pets
get it. Shaman pets don't get it at all.

All pets get double attack.

So maybe this is only a green thing? I dunno. Don't have a high level sham n ither. Bu they are either DWing or trip attacking on green, which is a bug.

I just parsed my monk's logs and indeed, the first time a quad got succesfully issued was shortly after my DA skill hit 150. I stand corrected..

Could it be a client/server timing issue? I swear I've seen my mage pet hit 5 or 6 times on rare occasion, but there seemed to be longer pauses in between than they should.

Edit: and yes, I checked that a bash/kick wasn't in there.

Pretty sure the answer is ot because of the timestamps. The times of everything are based on the servers packets being sent to you.

Ok, didn't know how the client/server decided the timestamps to display.

Is there any actual proof shaman pets are dual wielding in game on p99?

The code for pets is kinda jumbled. Might be somewhere else but I'm not seeing it.
