I'm sure the elemental Luclin graphics work because I had to turn them off under options at log in when i first started [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

Playing EQ with Luclin models is like eating a sandwich with sand.

I'm very confused by this....
An advantage is something that one person has that another doesn't, and that gives them some sort of edge over the person that doesn't. How does someone enabling luclin graphics give them an advantage? Seriously, I want to know, everyone has always said this yet I've never heard a good argument. Also, how would it be an advantage when ALL players could turn them on?
I believe the luclin graphics allowed certain things to be reached and other size related because of the differences in the size of the models involved.

Ok, I can see that. But I'd still argue it's not much of an advantage. At least not on this server. If there is an FTE where being small is an advantage you damn well know that every poopsocker guild out there has a bunch of small race racers on the line, already. And if your somewhere where it is an advantage. Camp out, enable graphics, log back in and un-enable when it's no longer an advantage. I just don't get why it's so "gamebreaking" and don't get me wrong. I enjoy the classic graphics. Just don't get why those that don't can't play with luclin graphics if they want.

Old world armor was successfully transitioned to Luclin models. Velious armor was NOT adapted properly. There was a project for it that was nixed before completion in favor of EQ2 development. The Velious armor tends to disappear into the geometry of the Luclin models.

I will now show you my druid on live with the Luclin model + Velious textures so you can share my horror. His BP is a crystal chitin chestguard, aka Velious plate, while his legs and gloves are high elf cultural chain, feet are coldain skin boots, and wrist is a serpentine bracer (old world textures chain, leather, and plate respectively).

Needless to say, I have the classic models enabled on live for fashionquest purposes :P
