It's usually people doing something wrong that seem to have a problem with the management doing their job. I'm pretty much an antisocial ass most times, but even I can say my experiences with GMs have been good. They do their job, with the tools/info available to them, with the mindset that makes me, as an ex pre-Kurnak guide, happy to see. They do the job because they like the game and want to keep it running smooth, not because they get any benefits.

The ones complaining are the ones that got caught doing wrong and weren't able to man-up to it.

The problem is this, in everyone's play time on here they will have something that happens to them that they honestly feel like they are wronged and like a GM should be able to fix the problem, but because of the rules the GM's MUST follow to try to be fair yet not be fooled by just any story people throw at them there will become a time where they ARE NOT able to help you, at that point.....even if they're someone you respect you feel ousted, some of the things you hear are probably caused by this, the rest are just people that like to get a rise wherever they can lol.....I haven't had my negative GM encounter yet, so far they seem faaar better the SoE GMs lol.....and most the conversations I've had IN GAME have all been positive when concerning GM's...Like someone said before, ignore the forums, base your opinion off your own interactions with the staff, stay around a bit you'll run into a few of them 8)

edit: also keep in mind the GM's here don't get anything but grief 99% of the time for all the effort they put in so we can play, this isn't SoE employee's getting a paycheck each week, I'm really surprised they're as patient with some of the people as they are considering everything they do here they do for these same people that are constantly shitting on them.......just my 2c~

I haven't had a problem with the GM's. I've only had one dispute about camp stealing, and it got resolved within minutes. I think if you spend too much time on the forums, you get a very skewed perception of the server. If you spend your time just playing I doubt you'll ever run into any "power tripping."

All of the GMs I have encountered have been helpful and professional... They can keep banning douche bags for all I care. I don't care if it's justified or not. Just don't be a douche bag and you'll have nothing to worry about.

Without first hand knowledge of something you are spreading a rumor. You should be banned for libeling Rogean without first hand knowledge. They probably won't ban you because they are usually very very reasonable (i don't know...maybe their making the server and paying for it out of their own pockets to keep it alive ought to give them some credit.).

Libeling? If you read the OP correctly I stated that I personally have not heard anything bad said about him, only good things. The GM they were questioning the motives of doesnt matter.

Anyway, I came here with a worry about staying on the server for the longterm and before this thread gets out of hand or my question is taken out of context Id like to thank everyone for the input and until something unjustified is done to me I have no more worries.

Please. Your motives are plainly transparent. You want to skirt the rule about posting about the devs, goad them into some disciplinary action, and then say AHA...LOOK AT THEM OPPRESSING ME! THEY IS BAD!

Like I said in my post, you admit to having ZERO first hand knowledge of the deeds you are cautioning new players about. In other words, your caution is a piece of poppycock and, most likely, so are you.

And there it is ... taking it out of context. If I offended you sorry .... but have to correct being misquoted. The caution you speak of can only mean the title of the thread, let me address this. Caution is referring to my caution before starting. Not cautioning new players.

Please stop accusing me of things based on your assumptions and misunderstanding of topic.
