They changed the run speed on the gorge hounds? That's too bad. Doing EK hardcore round up could net you like 3 levels per hour easy peasy.

Last I played on my bard I kited drovlargs in Dreadlands and could still do it only using strafe + chords + denon's. Maybe 2-3 weeks ago?

Yes, i tested the Dovlargs in FV yesterday, they are RS1 category. I didn't test Chords as i were a little nervous about their reach, they are quite big. But Denon's worked fine.

drolvargs look standard but have ~1.3-1.4x the hitbox of normal mobs
Err... do you mean "drolvarg's have a larger hitbox" or "drolvarg's have a longer reach?"

Typically a larger hitbox means an NPC can be hit from farther away, not that the NPC can hit YOU from farther away. I'm just confused by which you really mean.

Anyway. I tested on some drolvargs in FV just now and managed to land 8-10 denon's without getting hit, and then I landed a chords as well. They may have somewhat longer reach, I'm not positive, but if it is any longer it isn't drastically longer or it seems like you would never be able to land chords without getting smacked.

Did you Selo with the Drolvargs? If so, maybe RS2 fits the speed?

There's no distinction between these two concepts in EQ.

Maximum melee range is the same for both attacker and defender, calculated from the size of the larger of the two.
