I guess if they gave specific players the ability to mute ppl that could also work. Maybe that's the simplest solution. But then you open it up to the "corrupt" accusations.

Maybe we could just make a thread here, where we paste examples of players being detrimental to the ooc function for the GMs to look at. In classic EQ the players were never really given any power like this, but I don't see anything wrong with opening up the lines of communication between the players and the rule enforcers.

I'm waiting for someone with authority to respond before doing anything, but it really would be nice if something official could be done. Tons of people are warned and banned on the forums (myself included) for inappropriate behavior; where is that zeal in game?

tl;dr

Didn't even have to read past the subject, this would turn out horribly.

Any player-controlled OOC moderation would require additional coding by the server staff. Personally, I like the idea, but I don't see it happening any time soon. Their resources are probably all tied up in Velious release.

To me this has an easy two part fix:

1) Don't feed the trolls.

2) If the starving trolls are still bothering you, put them on ignore.

Put ooc in a second chat window by itself and name it bullshit, then you can minimize it for the time being and when you need a port or to sell something or LFG just maximize it back then rinse and repeat problem solved

Both are viable options however muting a troll would be much more satisfactory.

I got the best idea, USE IGNORE, DISABLE OOC, AND IF THAT DOESNT WORK TRY A HUGE TAMPON
