There is also of course the question of methodology. Covid in it's most dangerous forms only existed for about a year. The flu and all of it's variants have existed for decades. The collective understanding of their relative risk to society are not even close to the same quality. Covid has a much smaller data set, and for that reason is guaranteed to have a much worse signal to noise ratio when it comes to predictive potential and policy making.

The fact that essentially everyone who still wears a mask has a predictable political lean should be a massive red flag that this entire debate is hardly about science or biology anymore, and really never was.
and he keeps putting his foot in his mouth.

SARS-CoV-1 was identified in 2003 and was the same type virus but less contagious. Slightly more fatal thou.

SARS-CoV-2 was identified in 2019 and was a little more contagious.

In fact both had angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2; to enter human cells.

And ... yeah this virus type was first seen in chickens in 1920 in America.

And ... Human Coronavirus OC43 and Human Coronavirus 229E viruses was identified in 1960

And... HCoV-OC43 was mostly associated with the Russian flu pandemic of 1889-1890

... please just stop with your fed propaganda.

That feeling when you realize you live in one of the many stupid dark ages and periods of history nobody really cares about while they breeze through history class.

it's all about owning the libs, whether it's no masks "my body my choice" during covid or wearing them now to cosplay as the Gestapo

Ya police in Mexico do the same thing when arresting cartel bosses

Except here in America it would be crazed people of a particular political party going to their homes rather than siccario’s (safer, but more annoying)

If we’re worried about like bad actors, impersonating them and kidnapping or committing crimes, then what we should do is make a special suit that they wear that is really hard to replicate by strangers. I don’t know. I’m thinking something like white and plastic with like a white helmet with like black eyes and like a lot of white and black basically on it.

And blasters. They should have blasters. Not guns.

Do I have to spell it out? I’m talking about storm troopers. I want to see storm troops.

Now that’s cosplay pod racing!

Covid is not likely to go away anytime soon, I keep hearing about new strains. There is always that chance though eventually it could mutate itself into less virulence and then fizzle out completely

I will say I haven’t hugged or touched my grandma since 2020 despite seeing her nearly every single Sunday since then for 3-4 hours for Church and lunch
