My thought process is still that Luke ended up just going in to hiding, just like Yoda did for the fact that he would only be a threat to Han and Leia. He found out really fast that there are other Dark side users (First Order) who are looking to destroy all Jedi.

If Luke has a connection with Ren, it's one that Ren or someone Ren knows met up with Luke in the past and lost a fight in some type of form. Ren became educated with the past Jedi/Sith and because he is a Darkside user chose to be infatuated with Vader's mission and life. In books and in video games (after EP6) Vader was immortalized with statues and more.

I am kind of excited about this movie.

Sorry just saw this thread. I do really want that shirt though Pringles where can I order one to wear. I know someone who would flip out when they saw that shirt. Doubt very seriously it would turn violent.

I loved 4-6 didn't mind 1-3 though they could have done without Jarjar. I really didn't like GL going back and editing 4-6 the way he did after watching them before the changes it just felt weird.

I saw 1 - 3 in the theater at release midnight. I don't mind saying it. Yes, I didn't mind them either, but by the time Revenge of the Sith was released, I knew the whole story line of the movie, which didn't deter me from seeing it.

I knew the only way the Sith were to get away with what they did was to have Yoda be off planet. That was beyond obvious, so when it happened in the movie, I wasn't surprised.

I was surprised at how they played that out though. Yoda saying he had good relations with the Wookies.

I am disappointed it didn't show more of Anakin killing. I really wanted to see Vader go through the Temple and kill everything, including 2 master jedis.

There is a good read regarding this on starwars.com, but I wanted to have a movie visual. Oh well.

I am really hoping they make a movie about Vader. I want to see exactly what he did to hunt down the remaining Jedi and destroy everything in his way. Of course there were times he did suffer and I want to see that in a nice 2 or 2.5 hour movie.

I was hoping these movies would be on The Thrawn Trilogy. I really enjoyed those books. However, I think the time line would put them closer to the New Jedi Order era.

This. The Thrawn trilogy deserved the film treatment, or at least borrow elements from it.

This film is more Disney mass marketing junk than Star Wars in that regard, but I digress I still will watch the fuck out of it.

ex. mass marketing: black storm trooper main character, adam driver is a very young main character. Han Solo was young but also mature, same for Leia. Daisey Ridley and Driver just scream millennial hipster to me, and it detracts from the Star Wars feel but Disney needs their monies worth from everyone, not just the "fans".

At least the black dude doesn't have that young milennial/hipster look to him. Even luke in Episode 4 looked a tad more mature in a "I'm very young, but you can also tell I'm destined for greater purpose" type of look. Ridley can pass for underage and looks like she just got her learners permit, maybe this is intentional but far cry from very young but mature Leia. Driver looks like he just turned legal drinking age, hoping it works but not the best casting for a young sith.

Oscar Isaac is the only main character casting that is dead-on classic Star Wars to me. They nailed this role big time. Looking forward to seeing what he can do with the role. Even very excited you might say.

Bringing up the Thrawn Trilogy being passed over is going to rustle some jimmies and create bad feels. Why u do this lol.
