So, i've been told that Scout isn't the best choice as a first character. What is a good support class? I normally play support in mmos anyway, i played skald back in the day so would like to change it up from that.

If you still want the stealth gameplay you could go Minstrel! Otherwise you would probably love to play Friar as they're both great in combat and serve a strong role as support.

Yeah bro stay away from a Scout as your starter class for sure, def the hardest to solo up amongst the Archer classes. Do what everyone else will be doing and pick a nice solo/grouping capable class up to 50 and then twink/trade plvl's for a Stealther class. Not too positive though with Alb, never played it.

necro's are the best solo levelers in the game. If you can make a friend with a cleric and do the Orcs camp with death servant you can PL someone 1-50 in less than a day, done it many times for plat.

no class is expensive to level, but all stealthers blow for grouping and aren't wanted in leveling groups with the exception to a minstrel(not a true stealther). Most "hardcore" leveling groups on launch will prob be either a RVR 8 man group that will be melee DPS heavy or a PBAE group (ice wizard, enchanter, spiritmaster) with 2x main healers and maybe PBT

melee 8 man alb: 2x cleric, 1x sorc, 3x armsman/merc(DPS), 1x minstrel(for speed5 and SOS), and either 1x paladin(for endurance) or another melee DPS. Pally and minstrel can be swapped for more DPS if needed

caster 8 man debuff group: 2x cleric, 1-2 cabby for spell debuff, and the rest sorcs/cabby and maybe a minstrel.


caster 8 man bomb group: 2x cleric, 1x sorc, 1x minstrel, 4x ice wizards


theurgs can be thrown into any of these groups for pets to interupt healers/casters haste/damage add, and PBT (blocks a melee attack every 3-5 seconds)
