I suspect that people who take pictures of food fall into 3 classes:

1) People who see food so rarely that they want to keep a picture around to remember what it looks like.
2) Fatasses who think of their food almost like their family.
3) People who think it's important to tell others about what they ingested and then dropped into a toilet a few hours later.

Though come to think of it, 1) is probably not too common, as they would more likely trade the camera/phone for food at some point.

I love the buffet circuit, I pay $4.95 for an all you can eat asian buffet, I shovel at least 30 shrimp nigiris down my throat.
