If there is no evidence for something, rational thought dictates that you assume it does not exist. There is no solid evidence for god besides some things written in books, therefore god does not exist. What is so hard about this? We apply the same logic to everything else in life except when it comes to religion and then everyone thinks its okay to make an exception.
