The rules state you need to be IN the camp to claim it. You cannot claim a camp from the other side of a zone.
Actually no that's only when other players are in the zone. When no one is in the zone and you are taking multiple camps, then someone comes in and wants to take a camp, you get first choice of the camps you were claiming.

I've levelled my Paladin coming up through Crushbone about a month ago now.
Ahngfei was there, Pulling Mobs FOR US, Killing them to like 10% and FD'ing, he did this for about 2 hours, and it was not a one off. I logged in several days and saw him helping groups and he was not naked Either.

So i'm guessing the kind souled Ahngfei may of sold his Monk, cause there was nothing but kindness from this guy. Just can't picture the guy that I met doing this to people.

Funny, we actually had a monk there helping us with some of the TR mobs for a while (Also not camped at the time) by the name of Lyfgard.

Maybe it was an off day for Ahngfei. Or maybe he did sell his account, since the toon was naked.

Such a shame if he sold his account. He really was one of the most kind and well-spoken players I've met on P99.

Definitely one of the downsides of account selling: reputation--one of the hallmarks of EQ--becomes rather confounded. I'm not entirely against selling (not that my opinion matters much), but perhaps a mandatory name change would help remedy the reputation awkwardness.

My interpretation:

The monk was FD'ing low hit point mobs in front of you. You didn't kill it. It ran. Grabbed friends. Caused a train.

No, not what was happening. He intentionally logged off of his alt, pulled the entire throne room down onto us, and feigned. This happened multiple times. Obviously, nobody here has any reason to believe me, but I have no reason to lie about any of it. Doesn't really benefit me to do so. He was just being a scumbag is all. Which is too bad, because it sounds like other interactions with this character (previous owner or not) seem to have been pretty positive.

However, Lyra, what you described is what Lyfgard (The other monk) was doing with some of the higher level throne room mobs. What Ahngfei was doing was intentionally training us by FD'ing, and then clearing the mobs we were camping and taunting us in OOC. Lyfgard was only 18th level though, so he couldn't really defend us.

Thumbs up

Not that Ahngfei necessarily wasn't causing mischief, but if it says anything about his character he did give my first character, a level 4 Druid, 100pp yesterday. That was such a helpful and nice thing to do.

Sounds more and more like the dude/dudette was just having a bad day and over-reacted. I'll have to ping him tonight.

Thanks, those of you jumping to his defense, for turning the boat around a bit.

It wasn't him, he went to the store and accidentally left his pc on char select screen. His little brother must've logged in and caused all the mischief.

Fraps evidence of training and FD'ing would get scumbags like this a suspension/ban I'd say.

Keep it loaded, and like EQ Titanium it can be acquired at a very very low price.
