IMO just get 40+ and then join a guild that is established to an extent. (Rapture, BDA, Divinity, Taken, Full Circle). Or if you want to do the high end thing then level to 58 and app TMO/FE.

I joined a couple of leveling guilds but always ended up playing with random people from ./friends list that were in the same zones I was in grouping when I was online.

Plus, leaving guilds is always somewhat dramatic (at least I think so). So I always try to limit the amount of times that happens =P

This is what I was thinking, but at the same time I don't want to have to level for two months on my own just to qualify for one of the more well established guilds. I want to actually get to know people on the raiding scene so I'm not a complete stranger to everyone when I finally break into the planes.
