Default Get FBSS instead

So I am curious as to if there are any other opinions about the Face Grinder vs the Censer?

Would I be better of selling the FaceGrinder for now and buying an FBSS for the haste and coupling that with my Censer?

Then at 39 or 40 switching over to the FaceGrinder?

Any thoughts here?

That is pretty much what I had. You just can't take advantage of the damage a Grinder can do till higher levels. And I rarely hasted myself with the FBSS on. There are only so many spell slots when you solo. It just wears off way too fast for the mana involved. I used a lot of Totemic gear on it at the time. Good AC and stats.

I remember when I put my Ikky BP and FBSS on my Shaman I went from killing two Gnolls to four Gnolls at the Spires in SK without stopping at like level 32ish. A BIG help.

Get a gatorsmash maul, it will be much cheaper than the other 2 handers suggested here. It is timed to be available for use in between casts of Cannibalize and will allow you to put your money to better use. I'd suggest you either save the rest and continue building income towards a Fungi, JBB, or epic MQ. Perhaps grab a set of 55hp/ac rings. Shamans don't need a deep mana pool, they benefit much more from a bit of extra health.

He's just going to give up on the 2 hander eventually, why blow the money?

Blow the money?

Are you playing on some bizarro server where items become no drop once equipped?

It's impossible to blow money on a droppable item unless you wildly overpay or sell it into a down market.

You have 10k plat.

You buy an item like an FBSS worth 10k plat and use it to level.

You sell the item for 10k plat (or more! you EC tunneling rascal!)

In each case, you were in possession of 10k worth of plat. By buying the item you just temporarily converted your plat into a useful item, putting it to work. In no way did you "blow" the money. You used it for its purpose.

In fact, now that I think about it, there is one other way to blow money: to let it sit in your bank and never buy any droppables with it. In which case it serves no purpose and has no value. The humble cracked staff delivers infinitely more value than a hoard of ten million plat that is never spent.

This has been a lesson in Everquest economics. Remember kids, plat is not wealth in EQ, items are wealth. Plat is just a means to acquire and measure real wealth.

thats all hypothetical, he could just as easily get stuck with the items, or the market could change and they might lose their value, which is even more likely as holding onto it is going to increase the chance that more of that item enters the market
