I log on this game and it's just the same mad bad no lifers since day 1. Stagnant, exp reduced to the point of all new ppl quitting. Nizzar continually beating the shit out of ppl who play through the endless hours of shit till they quit.

Shit feels old, and doesn't feel fun - need Vile or someone to step up. I can't even get my main to 60 on this box, let alone get an alt past 40, and I love EQ.



PS Azrael winning more shit wouldn't have made this fun - sitting at zonelines to wait for 5am so people log off etc is just as gay. People are too invested in this box to do anything, especially have fun - so worried of losing or fighting that EVEN raid pvp sucks.

Rogean I plead, let this burn to the ground so something fun may rise up. This box is doing nothing but ruining the lives of the mentally unstable ppl who play it like myself.
It wouldnt take much to revive the box, 2 things:

1) Remove xp loss on pvp death (in the works)

2) Up the xp gain past neckbeard threshold

Now it seems it takes a long ass time to figure what doesnt work with the box because devs arent playing it, so i wouldnt hold my breath for box revival with implementation of 2)

Sad because this is probably the best shot well ever have to have a populated EQ pvp server

They could even put in an optional item loot mechanic, that ive suggested a lot of times, but hey it would be nice if the moon was made out of cheese too so that astronauts could have some of that fine aged cheddar, too.

Server was fun for a month or two when mobs were actually getting contested. Now I come home from work, everything is dead, and I log out.

If rogean had listened to the feedback we gave him 2 weeks after launch (XP loss in pvp is gonna kill the box) we might have retained those 600 we had at launch.

The server would be an entirely different beast if we had a big pop like blue to build upon. I didnt choose my words correctly, xp gain would be fine with a stable 200-300 pop to build on and no xp loss in pvp so that you can have fun pvp happening all the time.

It is a bit neckbeardy to me, but with a solid pop it wouldnt matter cuz people would be too busy having fun pvping to care.

Classic pvp was actually pretty fun. Current spellfile make everything terrible.

Classic pvp people actually jousted and a well organized group actually had a chance to outplay a larger force simply due to the fact that you could kite people around, and 5 people chasing 1 person might not land a kill with inability to cc the target as well as nukes resisting on someone with high resists.

Here pvp is decided by 18 second t-staff/skean which always seems to proc in the first combat round as well as highsun spam perma disabling someone, root/snare/stun/blind landing on 300 mr on the first or second cast, wizards pillaring you from out of visible target range in 2.5 seconds, mage pets landing nonstop stuns and roots on you, and rogues/monks bursting 300+ dps onto golem wanded casters with 1200 hp, and nuking classes landing full damage nukes on 160+ resists 70%+ of the time.

People just get blown up and since damage is so high all the cc that is landing that shouldn't be landing is a death sentence to anyone.

The lack of attention to these major issues for months is main reason people don't log in anymore, among other reasons...such as the experience penalty crushing sub 60 players and doing almost nothing to a level 60 who will dip below 100 % into 60 for a day or two.

Killing good players isn't even an accomplishment with current pvp implementation.

Above post is right on and pretty much biggest thing needing fixing here as well as why I laugh at all the self claimed pvp champs on this server when the current ruleset basically negates all skill.
