The reason that a shotgun can fill a room (bird shot) is why I have reservations. Especially when you wake up to your daughter screaming cuz Chester the Molester broke into her window, or the family dog is going fucking crazy on someone in your kitchen.

Valid point, but in either case I wouldnt trust my wife or quite possibly myself to shoot any type of gun in those scenerios. Thats where the wasp spray coming into play...and or my switchblade (also legal in idaho).

one of my bestfriends had a AR coverted it to full auto got caught and spent 2 yrs in federal prison.. old man i use to work with has license to make firearms he was a dealer, he had a damn arsenal.

California: Legislators are considering what supporters call the LIFE Act, which includes 10 proposals that would stiffen the state’s already-aggressive gun laws and make the Golden State the least gun-friendly state in the nation.

One proposal would strengthen the state’s assault weapons bans by banning any semi-automatic rifle that accepts detachable magazines. Other proposals include an expansion of the state’s firearm record-keeping system, a ban on the sale and possession of ammunition magazines holding more than 10 rounds, a ban on bulk purchases of ammunition, and a requirement that people obtain a permit to purchase ammunition.

Bottom line: California already has the strictest gun laws in the nation. If passed, these proposals would make the state’s laws even stricter.

I know that "assault rifles" can't have detachable mags (need a bullet button), extending it to all rifles is just as pointless. Literally same amount of effort to reload, and people just put magnets over the button (I dunno if its legal but you can see it a lot at the ranges).

I was already under the impression rounds over 10 mags were banned unless you got grandfathered. A ban on bulk ammunition is kind of dumb, when we went to boy scout camp I imagine they had to order up a ton of fucking ammo for us each summer.

A permit to purchase ammunition? The fuck??

I think Alabama is plenty open with the gun legislation we have now...which is like zero.

When you can go to the Abba Shrine three times a year and buy things that are damn near assault rifles and thousands of rounds of ammunition, you are good. Went with a friend one time and he bought THREE desert eagles. One for his momma, one for his daddy, and one for him. I am pretty sure they cleared the woods behind his house with those mother fuckers. They would mix a drink, set a target, and go to fucking town.
