it is but dont be misled, you mostly likely wont see an epic battle like this for a long time. you can quickly get into faction warfare which can have up to 100v100 fights.

the thing with eve is you train (kinda of like leveling up) in real time meaning you can play 22 hours a day for a year straight and you will not catch up to the skill points (level) of a veteran of 1+ years. you could make alot of in-game money tho [You must be logged in to view images. as far as the 28k story, basically the biggest ship type in the game that can take years to fund and train for (and months to build) accidently warped into a hostile area. he was targeted immediately and called for help. when help came the attackers called for help as well. basically everyone calling for reinforcements on both sides caused the battle to escalate into a 3000 man battle.

one good/bad thing is, in eve your reputation matters. everything is tracked and alot of info is public.

I'm playing this game right now.. posting in thread while my ship auto-pilots me to the second business tutorial quest oh lawd whats happening.

Apparently this game comes with a build in browser. Neat.

nice the key to success, learning curve wise, is to read everything. there is a FREE giant ass guide to the eve game you can download and read in pdf.

thing has the basics and pretty much covers all the important shit. also there is a ton of guides and resources in and out of game. way too much to cover on here.

the key to staying with the game is to make friends and join a corp. solo eve players dont make it statistically although there are some people who just solo missions all day or box 20 characters mining.
