Before the Ender incident with Mellow, when Northwest had been deleted and stripped by Retti and it was known by everyone, that was the response I got from Sirken. Then a couple months later they decide stripping / deleting is now perma bannable, and not only that, accounts which get items are also bannable. It's this inconsistency people dislike you tards, not the actual punishment of people who do douchebag things.

Sadly if the Nortwest issue had been handled right away like the Mellow issue was (NW took 3 months, Mellow took 4 days? And they were both restored on the same day) the Mellow issue would have never happened.

The first event triggered the other.

Personally in this case I would have restored everything. Not banned anyone. Then made an announcement stating the new rules and what punishment would be if they happened again.


This was the entire problem with the situation.

GM far too often look at things in a vacuum. They don't understand the circumstances surround the events which happened which leads to many problems.

easy to understand examples:
1. level 50 casual player returns to the server after a long hiatus, and gives his info to a new "friend" he made over the course of a couple days of leveling. "friend" strips char's manastone. >>GMs are likely to intervene.

2. Heartbrand gets stripped. >>GMs tell him he knows the risks, as he's stripped many accounts himself...

Imagine you were on a highway and the speedlimit sign said, "there's no speed limit on this road, but we may decide to enforce one of any particular speed at any given time without warning," and then when they decide you're speeding they give you the death penalty.
