GM's acting impulsively and random with harsh punishments is one of the biggest problems here. One guy steals an account and strips it while nothing happens, then someone else does the same thing and eats a perma ban. One guild exploits nagafen, another guild goes and does it and receives suspensions.

GM's will interfere with the server, without real understanding about how much time both sides have put into their characters/guild and how much grief each side has given to each other and intervene with micky mouse bullshit all the time acting all high and mighty making you forced to grovel to get unbanned.

Hilarious rentacop type mentality - I don't know why I'm going on this big rant I'll probably be banned or targeted now in game since someones pride will be hurt. Either way being a volunteer part time rule enforcer picking off random bullshit when tension is this hot is what frustrates people the most.

Both guilds, both major sides full of people doing this type of shit for years fighting for control of the box putting in crazy hours are BOTH FURIOUS that GM'S show favoritism to the other side? How could that be? Perhaps both sides think the GMing is garbage and just stay out of it.

My mad post for the day - be insulted if you want, red99 had been the wild west since day 1. Either make a thread with specific PVP shit that will warrant what bans, a week or w/e or just fuck off - don't come in with minor game mechanic abuse and throw the hammer down it's crazy policy - I think it's just a power trip for some GM's, I see it in RL too some fucking faggot who got sand kicked in his face wants to act big because he has a little bit of power.

This is literally off the top of my head issues that GM's intervene HOW THEY FEEL AT THAT MOMENT AND WHO IT IS. Perhaps you shouldn't be looking at the players Sirken and maybe take a look at how you run the box and your policies/rules.

Maybe make a thread stickied saying if you break this rule you receive this punishment and actually enforce it fairly.

Rogean had a thread himself saying they arn't policing account info - if your account info gets out it's not their problem and then you PERMA ban someone for doing just that.

I don't even really give a fuck which is the funny thing, I just felt like you blaming the players is what got me fired up.

R99 would have easily another 100-200 players online if they werent griefed off the server by a douchebag fungi twink before they could even hit level 20.

People make fungi twinks because leveling a melee/hybrid without one will cost them 25+ days of their life. The reason there isnt another 100-200 players on the server is because there is still a pvp death exp loss, no yellow text and no exp group bonus. There is always going to be immaturity in a gaming community.

you are either remembering it wrong, or you didnt spend enough time on one of the boards. RL attacks, attacks on peoples children, posting RL info, stripping/deleting accounts, is primarily a R99 exclusive feature.

the "worst" thing that happened along those lines on vztz was "the wipe committee" video.

VZTZ's biggest down side was that VZTZ (and every other eqemu server besides R99/P99) was riddled with cheaters. to catch for MQ we usually had to to set up stings and manually catch them. luckily Rogean and Nilbog are much more knowledgeable in their respective fields than anyone from VZTZ ever was.

It's a shame that not everyone who has acted like a moron received a ban for it, but I can appreciate that some of them have. What's the problem here?
