If a bunch of our core got suspended and deleveled for cheating right now, it wouldn't be an excuse for not getting some mobs. If anything, it would tarnish all the victories we had already gotten.

I think a lot of these threads come out due to the amount of shit that was flung by certain young forum raiders over the past few months as FE had formed/ was getting its raiding up to speed. I don't think any of the FE members here would honestly say we're the number guild on the server and we obviously need a ton of VP gear before that could even come close to being considered true. Also, when Eccezan goes and posts threads about mobs that he thinks TMO got and a GM informs us that it is not the case, well, you see the kinds of threads that follow those kinds of events.

Corova always insightful and honest, I wouldn't have it any other way Fountree. The Yin/Yang (FE/TMO) be it as you will is a good dynamic. Each has nameless hero's who float behind the scenes and the "server villians" you'd love to hate.

We dont think we're hot shit, I wasn't even in FE when you guys (well a very select few) really shit all over them, so as kills happen, we learn, we adapt.... confidence grows (Some had huge ego from start). While TMO has been around for awhile and lets say are seasoned vets. FE has studied every kill and has patiently took their lumps and now are very much so a top contender for dam near every raid mob (thats me being very over zealous seeing as we just started to attempt vp so who knows).

Not saying we the best or youre the best, i think within those two extremes we are teeter tottering at the moment in this struggle of power, vp will be the deciding factor imo.

You're right.. it wouldn't be an excuse, it would be a reason. Similarly, I'm simply stating part of the reason the streak was so long, was that a good 2 weeks of that wasn't even competitive, and I believe by that point in time it had changed from a week to a 3-day spawn.. so racking them up was pretty trivial.

My point in bringing it up is that it's not nearly as impressive when you look at the details pertaining to why something happened. If it were TMO could say something like "we had 40 consecutive Trak kills", or TR could say "we had 15 consecutive trak kills" when in actuality both of those streaks would have been during a time they were uncontested. Context matters.

40shades, you have some very good well thought up points and seem to have a great understanding of past server history, as for me, only since last march have i been around.

What you think chances AoW goes down within 3 weeks of velious drops? I remember it might have happened on Fippy progression server rather early on? you have any insight that could intrigue me.

Not going to happen without NToV loot, or at the very least full dragon + quest sets. Top VP geared Kunark warriors have.. ~6k hp? You have to survive quad 1k rounds, so even if you had 10 clerics to perform 1sec CH rots you would still have to get semi lucky your tank didn't eat a bad round, and you would have to sustain through.. 500k hp I think it is on AoW?

Long story short, AoW hits too hard, has too many HP, and Kunark gear is really shitty. Clerics going to need deeper pools, Warriors more HP and AC, and melee classes much higher DPS.

I'm just trying to recollect what most p99 raiders wear for gear now a days.. I mean aside from Trak BP/BCG/VS Legs and VP loot... doesn't most raid werable shit have like +5-10 to some stats and +35hp/mana?

Ya.. that's not going to cut it.

It looks like Kunark was completed (PD downed) june 19th on Fippy, and AoW was downed on August 29th.. so that's roughly 6 weeks.

So its just a matter of getting the MT NToV/quest/dragon set then setting up a cheal rotation for days, i understand, i raided in pop so these era's im just learning.

Im just curious as I've heard a few diff stories, Quading for 1k will def down most players, have you ever killed Kazen in Lake rathe 40? Do any other mobs in kunark hit as hard as Kazen does? I think with evasive he was still hitting 1k doubles maybe? But his hp's a stupid low.

and 6khp for a tank is like as min max as you can get i'd think.

I'm changing my estimate to 3 months, think that sounds fair.
