I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.
I'm sorry but this is ludicrous. Are you seriously suggesting that the primary purpose of TMO is to make the server a better place for everyone? You guys are out for yourselves, just like everyone else on the server.

As an aside, I've long been a proponent, within the internal TMO dialogue, that we should greatly expand the endangered species list to all targets on a rotating basis excluding Trak and Phara`Dar.

However, I've noticed that when outsiders raise the banner of indignation internal resistance to the idea increases dramatically. This is not to say that the server brings it upon itself. Not at all. This is simply an observation, use it as you will. When we're accused of being patronizing for having the list at all, people want to kill it. When we're accused of being control freaks for only sharing table scrap mobs (say, outdoor dragons), people want to stop the list. When we're accused of being anti-social children for killing every target, people want to lock it down harder.

The more you rally against someone, the harder they'll push back. Every time TMO is vilified (rightly or wrongly), a specific mentality is inflamed. Certain actions and statements, however justifiable, true, or untrue, are adding fuel to the fire.

Food for thought.

This GM intervention needs to stop.
Is that why your guild petitions over losing a Fay kill?

You're not really in the position to grace the server by allowing other guilds to get 1 kill a week at your desecration anymore. You guys can't lock down half the targets anymore when you try to. Moot point is moot.

I suspect you missed the point entirely. My post was social commentary. It was directed towards the criticism of TMO's efforts (however honorable or pathetic). I simply stated that certain solutions become non-viable when the social setting reaches a certain level of animosity.

Whether or not TMO can lock down targets is completely irrelevant. What is relevant is the direction and nature of the dialogue.

If there wasnt gm intervention we would have just pulled Fay off your fay Kite. GM intervention effectively allowed FE to cheat the system while TMO stood around without our hands tied expecting proper application of server rules.

Luckily big Rogean popped in out of nowhere to save you.
