Mages are always in EC tunnle and you can ask one for a summoned weapon for the pet. Greater Lightstones get traded for the Concordance of Research which in turn sells back to the vendor for 9pp a pop. Great way to finance any character starting off in EQ (As a melee you can get a full suit of banded pretty cheap [75pp] and a PGT[75-100pp] to start & casters need even less than that).
