So I ended up spending the time to drag my ass to HHK and make a few logs, was too excited and wanted to see the changes rite nao! =p

Some may remember a thread I started a while ago about AC mitigation. Here were the results.

And now the parses from the test server.

Combat log 1: AC 818 ¦ AGI 99

Conclusions

The Hit% remains consistent with the values generated from my previous parses from back in June. The Slash Hit Average (AvgH) parameter and consequently DPS parameter all indicate lower values, as well as a decrease in overall max hits, despite the increased duration of the tests.

This means that the devs have successfully tweaked AC mitigation values without touching hit avoidance, which is exactly the intended effect.

Previously, there was no difference between an AC of 709 and 818 for a shaman; that's 100 AC that was useless! Now I can finally justify my "Toughness Über Alles" philosophy when it comes to choosing equipment.

Obviously I can't comment on whether the values are appropriate for Kunark since I can't test AC scaling any further (would need more AC and tougher mobs), but they seem rather fitting for the classic era. Great job, Haynar!
