Brewing change?

I've brewed about 60 vodka's and haven't seen a single skill up (currently 127 it is listed as max 135) nor a message saying I can no longer skill up. This seems like a large amount of attempts to go without a skillup. I was max all tradeskills on live and even in the 200+ range it was around 20 to 25 attempts per skillup.

Anyone notice anything similar?

Its called a random number generator for a reason. Ive gone 100 combines without a skillup at skill 205 and ive gotten 296-300 in 8 combines before(yes i played the lottery but didnt win so was only lucky here(was fletching in like 2002))
