When I was able to buy my Mortificator staff, I had still been using a Skull of Jhen'tra. So the wisdom and mana boost I got from that purchase was extremely noticeable. The graphic is also quite cool. As far as gameplay not much has changed since I don't consider myself a 'melee shaman', however the proc as of recently has been very useful against healing and CHealing named mobs in places like Kedge.
