Or at least try to ninja wand a tank, Christ, even Founding Fathers got that right.
Not every guild can be expected to wipe them in PvP and steal their exploits and execute them successfully. Baby steps. | ||

Previously in my life, EverQuest caused me to walk into work with unbrushed teeth, greasy hair, bad breath or just an unpleasant general demeanor. This is more of a group of gentlemen who are able to play EverQuest in the private scene at the highest levels, while still maintaining the strictest discipline to dental hygeine.

Incoming Moby Size Dick sized Epic:
When I decided to come back to red after the Dark Days I saw Vae Victus, a guild with no direction, no leadership, no Emperor. I quickly went to work to secure a power base within the guild and ensure that the transition period for my coronation as Emperor would be swift and unquestioned. For the most part, this stage was easy, as future Emperor at the time I bestowed gifts upon the newbie masses and power leveling, a sure way to secure favor, and began taking down playtimes and suggesting class composition to new comers. An Emperor needs an efficient empire one with just the number of artisans, professionals, farmers, etc. During this time period, someone named "Lite" joined the server, someone I had never heard of before. Ames told me that lite was a "power hungry faggot" and that I should avoid giving him any authority. I wasn't sure where Ames got that from at the time, though Lite did type like he had downs and incessantly pestered me in PM's about co-leading or being an officer. Like any Emperor, I shut him up by tossing him a bone as an officer while really ignoring him. Eventually, stage one was complete and it was time to take over Vae Victus officially. I secured the login info from Samwise to his alt that had the leadership of the guild and transferred it to myself via Basiah, a staple of my power base, every Emperor needs loyal Squires and Basiah/Bluecross/Swampfeet/Who Fucking Knows was one of them. This was not enough however, I had to fundamentally change the guild name so that people recognized this was a new Norrath they lived in, and that it was ruled by Emperor Heartbrand. I did this by having Vae Victus disbanded and I created Red Dawn. I knew that the key to success here would be not being another guild that is "anti-nihilum" but a guild that focused on it's own goals, inward, mainly PVE progression, something that all former guilds had lacked. However, when I looked at my empire I saw a glut of druids and necros and warriors but few to no chanters or clerics or melee DPS. This was a great sin. I implored my citizens to repent and reroll, but ultimately only Tina did, switching from Jenn a warrior, to Tina a cleric. She was rewarded with my bounty and power leveling. Of course, having basically no enchanters or clerics in Kunark meant there would effectively be one EXP Group and everyone else would be shit out of luck. As Emperor, I had to ensure I was in that EXP Group, which of course I did. I knew I had to be the first level 60 outside nihilum so that the length of my fingernails and beard would inspire awe throughout my empire. I accomplished this goal. Throughout this EXP period, I commented again and again that without clerics and enchanters, Red Dawn would not be doing very much. I was told by someone called, "Noah" that this negativity was bad for the guild. As Emperor, you cannot have those who will challenge your authority, I immediately noted this players name on my hand with ball point pen and knew his day of reckoning would come for daring to reply to my orders. You see, this is when I began to realize that people I was guilded with, while playing 14 hours a day +, were not very good at this game of EverQuest. They managed to rack up days and days of /played but their EXP Bars were not moving. Part of this was no clerics or enchanters (because the times there was an enchanter online such as Arbie or Sharlen I ensured he was grouped with the Emperor), but another part of it was because most of the citizens of my Empire were perpetually high while online or just mentally inept / clinically brain dead. This was a problem that honestly had no solution. I scheduled three weekly raids every week to inspire a team atmosphere, but it became apparent we had no monk who knew how to hit the Feign Death button. Another issue was that this "lite" individual liked to talk a lot in vent... a lot. So much so that I was flooded with tells of people asking me to shut him the fuck up. As Emperor, the peace of my kingdom is essential so I made sure as any good Emperor does, to talk out of both sides of my mouth and keep the populace happy. I had my minions secure me two ringed maces of the ykesha and other fine loots as part of the tax of being in my Empire. We made some progress in raids, and I made sure we kept doing them every single week without fail so that perhaps, some of the citizens of my kingdom would become somewhat better at EverQuest, which of course really never happened. Eventually, the day of reckoning was upon us. Per my orders to Nilbog, Nagafen was flagged non-banishable and our chance at glory upon this Red Server was upon us. I implored my subjects that we must take Nagafen at any cost, use guerilla warfare if necessary, and utilize our many Euros to do so early in the morning while Nihilum was asleep after 20 hour EXP Binges and Mountain Dew OD's. However, these rebellious Euro scum decided Plane of Fear was a better target so that they could spend twelve hours getting some valorium bracers. Ultimately, when I came back home and logged on, Nihilum was starting to mount an attack and the situation was dire. All of the DPS was attempting to hold Nihilum at bay while we took a skeleton crew to engage Nagafen. We had Sickpuppy and myself with a DS to attack Nagafen, and it became apparent when defensive wore off and Nagafen was still at 90%, that this wasn't going to work. Meanwhile Vampiro was chain dying to PVP somehow as a necro with HS and other clerics were dying outside to Nihilum. I implored people to get coffins, to do CR, but no one was really listening, people were running around, and this is when I realized that everyone in this guild likely had a SAT score of three digits, and that as Emperor, it was beneath my dignity to lead such an unworthy crew. I still led raids although Lite would rage quit daily when he died in PVP outdoors as a bard, accusing Nihilum of "MQ, Hacking" etc. etc. or the server being unfair. I tried to teach Lite the ways of project 1999, by showing him that when rebellious treasonous scum like Cinda leave, you give them the level 1 barbarian treatment. Lite didn't understand how things worked, which isn't surprising given he asked me before our first Plane of Sky raid where we zone in from. I knew that this was a fractured empire with euros who didn't give a fuck about the other players and had their own cliques, other cliques within cliques, retarded fights between brain dead players Coshigga and loyal Squire Nips, and many people complaining about Lite and his idiocy. Many players refused to attend raids where Lite was pulling, such as Sickpuppy. It was time for a power play. First, I removed that European scum Karsten as any good Emperor would, and his right hand man, King QQ some wizard whose name honestly I cannot even remember. I proceeded to dirt nap this guy in game as well and he hasn't been seen since. RIP. I tried to salvage the guild, let people know that the bullshit was going to stop. I had some success with loyal squire Mafakka aka the real Yiam, but when you're playing with 80% of people who are high while in Norrath, it's not very easy. We had some victories, though not many. I implored my empire that we must feign peace to Nihilum, honor LNS, in an attempt to get shots at raid targets, gear, and to prepare for full war down the road. Unfortunately, many of the dumber players in the guild such as Chubs did not understand the importance of these guidelines. As Emperor, I attempted to rule with an iron fist, but the time came when I realized for the sake of my rule of this great Box, it was time to put Red Dawn out of it's misery. I confiscated the Empire's funds, relocated any necessary moneys or items to my possession, and negotiated a great alliance with Nizzar, leader of the Nihilum Empire. Together, we have stomped out this awful guild known as Azrael who spends their time doing thirteen hour fear clears only to be destroyed and left to CR the next day, cleansed my Diamond District, and restored peace and prosperity to the box. Praise be the Emperor, Praise be the Box, Praise be Heartbrand, first of his name.
