NPC Spawn Issue: the mad kaiaren

kk I got this, some other monk told me kaiaren was by the lake, the mad one , thing is he DOESNT path back to his spawn point or the area we should be at ( seb ruins ) so wherever you leave him after he attacks you , you fd, he will stay there, gl to other monks. Im pretty sure this is not supposed to work like that.
