I think returning for the nostalgia is great, but if you plan to stay it's because of the mechanics more than anything. A game that takes some effort and has some sense of reward, even if it IS just a video game.

But hello to you, Jester! Maybe I'll look you up sometime on my Ikky [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Oh yeah for sure. I joined Knights Who Say Ni if thats at all relevant. I usually play in the afternoons and evenings CST.

IMO this is one of the best games that mankind has ever devised. Certainly the best MMO to date. So welcome back, and try not to become jaded, or look a gift-horse in the mouth. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] This is a precious thing we have here. Perhaps the only free lunch in town, and it is very fine fare indeed.

Speaking of gift horses and free lunches, has everyone been donating a little every month? :P Or a lot once? If not, you should!

dude I had a party every time I hit a spell lvl as a newbie. Once you get invis take some time to explore the old world its pretty interesting all the mobs and drops ( your faction prob wont let u do many quests) there are.

You just need to enjoy the "now". Even when Velious is released, and even if other expansions follow, there will always come a point where you have completed all you can or care to complete, no matter how much content is added. So it's not so much the destination that should be your goal but rather the journey.

You dont really have to wait until Velious is "played out" to find out what it will be like. Kunark is beyond played out by now. You'll never be able to camp most good high end items. You will have to pay for them. And as for end game raiding....well just spend 30 seconds browsing RnF and you'll see what thats like.

None of this, however, affects how much I enjoy the server. Just play now. Worry about later when it comes.

Welcome, Jester. Enjoy your stay.

Definitely not a question of if, just when! We are working on it.
WTB Iksar Planes armor in the meantime so we don't totally suck!
