You do realize that the multiple wives thing is the FLDS and not the LDS church, right?

The LDS church banned polygamy a very long time ago. Do people just not know this or do they refuse to acknowledge it because its humorous?

fuck off, honestly.
You don't have to get defensive, im not trying to shoehorn you into admitting what you're too afraid to say if you consider yourself agnostic. Im simply saying i don't understand the thought process of the agnostic. If someone were to ask you if big foot or the loch ness monster were real, would you really answer "i don't know"? It is the exact same concept.

If the evidence is there, then you have a belief, if the evidence is not there then you do not hold a religious belief, making you an atheist. There is really no middle ground in this argument unless you are incredibly indecisive or unintelligent.

There is no middle ground when talking about something as basic as the existence of god. Either you believe God exists, or you don't. Do everyone else a favor and stay out of rational discussion if you can't even make up your mind over something so basic as that, "i don't know" is not an acceptable answer for the reasons i previously outlined.

Regardless, archlyte has responded to my argument by comparing me to an entity from a fantasy series, im not sure where we can go from here.

In high school I used to live across the street from a Mormon house. Their daughters were p sexy. They were intelligent and successful, but sometimes people who are otherwise logical and functional get caught up in some pretty outlandish belief systems-- it's hard to escape your upbringing and your community.

I often fantasized about corrupting them with my secular agnostic lifestyle and worldview. They went off to BYU and I think one is a doctor and the hotter one is a wife and mom.

They could have lived in darkness with me, man.
You sound like....me! But I can say, my lady's ex is a mormon and hes a pretty damn good guy. But I was raised to always ignore them and the crazy people that knocked on the door. I got no beef with them though, Joseph smith was a fake, but hey we all need something to believe in I guess.

One thing I can say is, they are pretty close knit. But I went to a few boy scout events at some Mormon churchs and they seemed like really nice people. Very family oriented and smart about stocking food lol.

I could see myself being a Mormon. If they paid me enough. =P
