Trust me, bored programmers write some crazy shit.
so true.

funny that you mention this because i recently looked at a post on an emulator forum about the original N64 Goldeneye cartridge...

It had all the code needed for a... (zx spectrum..?) console emulator *built into the cartridge* along with 10 or so Rare (the company that made goldeneye) games. Apparently they just wanted to see if it could be done, and ended up leaving the code in. Instead of removing the code they just removed a couple lines that made it work, so unless you patch the cartridge you can't use it. Still pretty neat. Will see if i can find the link.

The system definitely sucks. The game designers have openly admitted that class experience modifiers were a terrible idea.

I don't want people to be benched because of that, but I also value my time. Though that's not to say that you cant use this tool to still find a good composition using hybrids.

The idea is to help people find compatible groups; even Ogre SKs. Or perhaps to help people make better race/class choices when rolling/rerolling.

Getting in a group with one hybrid isn't so bad.

But once you start stacking them, it really sucks.

Was in a group with 2 sk's and a bard once. Never again.

Not to sound like an ass, but seriously? You actually caculated what your exp split was in groups and did it so often that you had to write a program for it? For a 13 year old game?

I am simply astounded as worrying about my split of group exp never once crossed my mind in 13 years of playing this game or any others.

can you make a gearscore app and force everyone to have a certain number of points to get fucked over by high end raiding guild elitism? Thanks!

People like you make me sad.

Some of us like our numbers! No discrimination against classes with hefty penalties, I just want to see whats ticking behind closed doors!

I just love when people piss and moan about a SK with a 40% XP penality and then have a Iksar Monk, which most are, that has a 44% XP penality. Go figure.

Yeah any group leader that has a choice surely doesn't want 2 SKs or SK/paladin but a ranger is often worth a look to go alongside the tank [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The Ogre SK actually needs more XP than the Iksar monk.

Ogre SK = 1.15 * 1.40 = 1.61 (161%)
Iksar Monk = 1.20 * 1.20 = 1.44 (144%)

Though yes, both are pretty high on the XP soaking spectrum.
