UI looks fine to me, although you might want to take advantage of something that shows your hp/mana and resists as numeric values instead of bars. We apparently "can't enforce a classic UI", so, don't gimp yourself. I'm happy to lend a hand if you need a walkthrough on setting that up.

Also, get some resist gear, dawg. Doesn't look like that held you back here but, Jesus man.

thanks dawg but i play these boxes for as close to a "classic"(used as loosely as possible) experience as i can get

besides, i don't need anything more sophisticated than veliousesque UI to slay these bluebies, at least not until i get many clickies and i'll cross that bridge when i get there

as far as resist gear goes i'm pretty much at the mercy of whoever wants to give it to me since i only play like 1-2 hours a day and i have 13pp in the bank

I usually prefer to dual wield but with Rune/DS Caused by some of these guys Level 60 Immersion I see and understand the 2hander tactic.
