A group was in disco tonight slaughtering everything, but they moved to crypt so I postponed going to bed for a few minutes to see if Grup would spawn... and he did! The only other mobs up in basically all of disco, though, were the 3 frogs who had popped right next to Grup. I lulled the two on the outer edge, both lower-level shamans, and targetted an AE mez on a dar knight standing next to Grup, figuring I'd hit them both with tash then pull them back into the still-empty pox scarab room.

But AE mez has a bigger area than I expected, and I caught all 4 frogs. After trying to decide if I could salvage this somehow, I decided to tash everything, root everything, and camp them off while hidden around the corner.

When I came back on, Grup was missing and a couple frogs were filtering down from up above... so I thought he had been pulled out. But while I was waiting for Culprit to log on to sell him a donal's bracer, Grup somehow ended up back at his spawn point.


This time I lulled and pulled him solo back into pox room, which was still empty. Knowing that my tactics were going to result in a messy, ugly fight, I still decided I would keep Grup mezzed in there until something spawned for me to make a pet of. I was a bit worried he'd get pulled off or something if I tried to be more careful by waiting for the room to pop and clearing it THEN killing Grup: http://postimage.org/image/iuma7yk8r/

The pox scarab and a frog popped within seconds of each other, putting me in the tricky-ish spot of getting the scarab charmed, hasted, weaponized, while making sure I didn't eat a nuke or anything: http://postimage.org/image/bhahepep3/

I managed it though. Pet set upon Grup with a vengeance, and Grup seemed like he was easier to stun than ilis wizards/shamans I've fought: http://postimage.org/image/4fu9zvndv/
