I know the tech section on the wiki has stuff about this, I have searched and searched, no solution yet.

These days having to use a 3 year old Gateway laptop: Pentium dual cpu T3400 2.1 ghz 2gb ram, Vista Home Premium. Graphics is intel mobile graphics. I've tried the compatibility, affinity, wineq, throttlespeed, anything I can find. I tried running it at 800x600 and it *still* is same speed. Can't play under these conditions. I'm launching from eqemulator (Moe's Tavern launcher.) I've turned everything down in-game. Nothing alters it. I try to run, I stutter run-snare-run-snare. Spells are cast while spell cast bubble is only half down. And of course, I die, because nothing is timing right. \ I know this is a common post, but I have spent the past week trying to fix it, with no luck. thnx

pretty sure this is the "Multi-Core processor issue". Do a little searching on that you should find assistance.

Might be able to find a suggestion in here that you have not yet tried: http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3609 | ||

ok: I set the cpu setting using msconfig, and that seems to have worked, along with adjusting the refresh rate to 75hz from 60. But, I just crashed whilezoning, so will see if it still works.

But this might be a good note. I had set the program to use one cpu. But using the msconfig panel/boot/# of processor seems to have fixzed it. At least for first time. See if it sticks now. \THNX DUDE

I have this same issue on my multi-core laptop. What solves it instantly is opening up a browser window with a really long youtube video (10 hour videos are good), just mute and leave running in the back ground (do not minimize), play EQ stutter free.

ok. as I said, setting things up using the msconfig method worked where the other methods did not. And, I am running a 3 hour youtube video in background.... and that seems to be helping too.

			wtf.
