Clearly batphone for a small casual guild with only a handful of 60's is an effective way of combating guilds like TMO who actively recruit members that live in different timezones with multiple VP geared/epic'd toons logged out at different targets.

If some guild wants to camp something for 80hours for a mob they need more power to them. Its not like this is trakanon, this is Inny.. If FC decided to sock the shit out of Trak then I think nobody would seriously care when people showed up but we are talking about Inny. If you cant see why its a little ridiculous that TMO cant let some small guild get one Inny spawn when they dont even need anything but the other guild has put in 80 hours then nothing I or anybody else can say will matter.

You guys remind me of the old days of counterstrike. When I would run up in a match and get multiple head shots and a insane kill to death ratio and then the people that sucked threw out words like "omg hacker. Omg wtf no way hacker!"

Listen man I said it once I'll say it again. Macroquest has no super duper magic effects. It did later on in eq but in classic all you can simply do is basic shit other classes can say for instance track a mob. Which I rarely even used. Its not like it gave me levels or plat or some amazing kill hack. It really did nothing for me. But you guys blow it out of proportion man. Yeah its illegal but it didn't grind me to 60 or give me my gear.

All that was effort which a lot of whining cunts here that troll me don't put forth.

I admitted I used mq so I don't see the big deal.

When you have multiple lvl 60s its possible to stack up half a mil plat. But yet I'm rmt since I used mq too? Rofl. I would never pay money for plat. Learn to farm non raid mobs for loot.

You'll have to excuse me, I have no sympathy for anything. FC does what it thinks it needs to, that's fine. I don't seriously have a problem with them wasting 80hrs socking any mob. I just don't think they should be upset that their gamble didn't pay off and then cry about how people should just give it to them because they were able to no-life it for 80hrs straight as a guild.

Sorry bros, if things worked like that, the lottery people in Georgia would just give me the next payout because I've bought so many and not won.

I get what you are saying but nobody in FC is whining, people are just pointing out how its kinda fucked when TMO is ready to waste 80 hours of a nice group of peoples time to kill a mob they dont even need when the only reason FC is spending that time is it is their only real shot to get a mob like Inny for gear and epics for members.

It is sad but it is how guilds like FC have to play to have any sort of shot on some of these mobs. I do agree it is stupid but that is mostly because of the culture of the raid scene now.

I wonder what this thread would look like if TMO had put 80 hours into camping Innoruuk this week and another guild decided to sock as well.

Not to say that I think it's a good thing we're socking Innoruuk from FC right now, but I am indeed curious as to whether or not this is legitimate outrage or simply more opportunistic soap-boxing by a select group of repeat outrage-artists. I suspect that it is the latter. I do think that it'd be nice, and quite healthy, to leave Innoruuk uncontested for FC so that they may claim the mob on their own merits. However, their decision to camp for 80+ hours was made with full recognition that a late-window sock was very possible. This was nothing less than a precisely calculated decision.

I was quite enthused and pleased when TMO ceded the first attempt at Vox to Taken a while back simply because they asked. While TMO is certainly not the most predictable of organizations when it comes to niceties, RnF Forumquesting is demonstrably not the way to promote such encounters.

RnF recriminations only serve to inflame the Alpha Male mentality, and if your true goal was to encourage diplomatic dialogue and exchange, then there's a more logical way to go about it. If that's your goal, of course.

Perhaps our resident soapbox artists are not fueled entirely by righteous indignation? Could they simply be opportunistic scam artists focused on bludgeoning someone they don't like?
