Reiker's Shaman Gear Suggestions:

Ears: Black Sapphire Electrum Earring x2 (2 ac 35 hp 25 mana)
Fingers: Platinum Fire Wedding Ring x1 (5 ac 55 hp) Djarn's Amethyst Ring x1 (9 agi, 80 hp)
Neck: Black Sapphire Platinum Necklace (55 hp 55 mana)
Helm:
Mask:
Chest: Rubicite Breastplate (19 ac +3 regen) / Rune Etched Chestplate (26 ac, 9 sta, 13 wis, 25 mana) [Rubicite is highly superior]
Arms:
Back: Hooded Black Cloak (10 ac, 5 str, 45 hp)
Belt: Bone-Clasped Girdle (4 ac, 7 str, 7 dex, 7 sta, 75 hp, 75 mana) / Reed Belt (6 ac, 5 wis, 10 hp)
Shoulder: Embroidered Black Cape (4 ac, 15 hp, 20 mana)
Wrists: Amethyst Bracelet x2 (5 ac, 3 wis, 15 hp)
Legs: Gatorscale Leggings (7 ac, 4 wis, 15 hp)
Hands:
Feet: Rune Etched Boots (14 ac, 9 agi, 20 hp, 7 sv cold)
Primary: Platinum Dragon Totem (30 hp, 50 mana) / Gloomwater Harpoon also good if you're meleeing (9/31, 4 str, 25 hp)
Secondary: Bladestopper (25 ac, 15 sta, 50 hp)
Range: Darksea Harpoon (5 str, 5 wis, 20 mana, 5 sv disease)

Empty slots mean nothing is immediately coming to mind, so take Rune Etched or whatever.

Best Shaman gear without going hardcore on raid loots. BCG is the best item but it's absolutely critical for a Shaman to obtain one before a Belt of Dwarf Slaying (velious)

Basically your goal is to hit at least 500 in +HP/stam gear, the more the better. Take wisdom/mana when you can but don't lose HP for it.

Going forward: wisdom and mana gear is most useful in classic. If your manapool is too high kunark is a great expansion to begin transitioning to HP, at least by the time you get canni3 and definitely before torpor. There's no reason at all at this point to have over 140-150 wisdom. Always keep a regen bp, either fungi, iksar ceremonial, or rubi in that order, until you get your vindi bp in velious
