Getting Started

So I'm trying to connect to Project 1999 server, when I get to the character selection screen it says you are missing spell files in order to connect to the server, go to project1999 page and go to getting started, problem with that is I download the eqemulator patcher and the file won't execute.

What I did to connect to the server in the first place was change the eqhost.txt file to the server address, however it didn't patch me up to date. Is there a current eqemulator patcher that I can download anywhere? I can't seem to find it anywhere, and what if there is a problem there? Like how it says it won't run the .exe patcher file when I download it from winrar, I try to extract it and that doesn't work either and comes up with an error. If someone could post both the newest eqemu launcher/patcher and the project 1999 files that'd be great.

these are the files you need to update from the original installation, instead of using the p1999 patcher. combine this with the getting started guide

you can also use eqemulauncher (from moestaverne.com) - it works most of the time, just when there are hundredes of zombies (from scriptkiddies) DDoSing moestaverne.com, then its not working [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
