When I played a rogue, everyone was nuts for STR. ATK was where it was at, though. True, STR adds to ATK at 1:1, but for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to be as potent as ATK from buffs like wolf form, garou, grim aura, avatar, etc. There weren't many worn +ATK items within my reach, but I made sure to get all that I could - and I believe it was worth the effort.

And this is because STR caps at 255, while ATK can be stacked ad infinitum. Then you realize how stupidly easy STR is to stack to cap, and ATK becomes the stat you are swapping STR gear out for. That and possibly resist gear. It only gets easier with Velious gear.
