The town crier that no one listens to because he's partially retarded, so the town's people gave him a bell without a knocker and told him to say hello and other amicable greetings to people as they walked through the town's square while on their daily business while he whirled around his knocker-less bell. He soon realized how he had been duped and went to live with the natives who promptly killed him for being unable to contribute to the good of the community. Then one day a child was walking near the edge of the forest looking for him because she hadn't seen him in the town's square for a few months and her parents were not being totaly honest in explaining how he had left the town. She came across a native boy and she asked him only to receive a blank look until she held out her arms at her waist making an indication of "wide" by which the native boy picked up a stone and tapped his head, shrugged his shoulders and returned into the forest. The girl went to her parents enraged at their lie of omission and demanded the truth. Her father explained it all to her as best as he could, but she wasn't satisfied. She went to the natives to speak to their leader, and she was promptly made a slave. When her father came to find her he was beaten and enslaved aswell. The town's people began to panic thinking that an attack was imminent from the natives because of those who had encrouched on the forest breaking a silent peace. The native's leader came to the town one Sunday morning bringing the girl and her father. He asked to speak to the town's leader. The town's leader received the girl and her father, and asked the native's leader why the gesture of peace. The native's leader replied, "You whites stupid. Kill fat idiot before they learn what attention is. Gave him a bell like idiot. We're leaving the forest so to not become idiots like you."
