Scifi is my favorite genre so ill start with a couple of my favorites (that werent mentioned already):
- Delicatessen (Great cinematography, great decor, great actors, great script, great movie, i you like scifi and didnt see that, run for it.) - The thing - Mad max 2 (see this movie again and watch how the fallout intro was totally inspired by this movie, if you hadnt noticed before.) - La planete sauvage (fantastic planet in english) - Moon - 12 monkeys - The 2 alien pre-quels done by Ridley Scott (I am crossing my fingers that they are not watered down, appeal-to-the-teenage-ADD-crowd crap) | ||

Army of Darkness
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (we taught our toddler to say "Ni!" ... she's still having trouble with the "ecky ecky ecky ecky thpang zoom wom") The Dark Knight Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (seems to be a widespread favourite!) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Equilibrium Lord of the Rings and a handful of other comic book / fantasy movies
