Dam I wish I read this before I posted in the lore post. I was just asking if anyone knew a good everquest lore book, happen to know any taxi?
The Everquest Roleplaying game books had tons of lore in them. It even included hints to solve quests that have never been solved till that point.

I have them at home, what do you need me to look for?

Joe Haldeman is one of my favourite sci-fi authors. He does a really job of ending books with amazing questions on ethics and morality and you don't even notice it. He wrote The Forever War as his most famous work, but An Accidental Time Machine, one of his more recent works was enjoyable as well.
The Forever War/Forever Peace should be required reading for any true sci-fi fan, IMHO

it may be a little off your beaten path, but the sociopath drug addicts living amongst south florida made Tim Dorsey books exceptional reading.

The Stingray Shuffle was a real gem.

Just realized that I really know none of the lore behind the game. Since the start of the GM event and everyhone searching for the journal and figauring out symbols, it all seems pretty interesting TBH. Ill probally have to go check out the lore books.
Thank you for the offer though, you always seem to be a helpful person.

I came across Altered Carbon a while ago, forgot all about it. Thanks! Keep the juices flowing, and while we are at it, why not make some movie suggestions? Quality movies are few and far between so i do appreciate some good digs.

The most obvious recent ones:

-Moon -The road - District 9 Which im sure youve all seen XD

The road was not super good to my taste, but cinematography was beautiful (in a post-apocalyptic way) and like i said, not alot to chew on so you take what you can. Moon was my favorite one that came out recently.

Recent?

For recent-ish there is Tad William's Otherland Series. Surreal not-so-distant future with a bit of William Gibson-esque sci-fi flavour.

I really enjoy Haldeman's Confederacion universe. One of my Favs, though it is pretty short, is All My Sins Remembered.
EE "Doc" Smith is good stuff if you are a fan of old pulp Sci Fi from back in the day.

Harry Harrison is good:
Deathworld trilogy is good, if you enjoyed the Stainless Steel rat stories..Jason dinAlt is a very similar character to "Slippery" Jim DiGriz but still a good read. The Hammer and the Cross/One King's Way/King and Emperor
is very cool speculative history/fiction. I have too many to list I think, so I will leave it at those choices for now [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Short story: I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it, but I think it was Heinlein, Splend is a many lovered thing was the final line.
