Solo Artist Challenge

working on cliff golem on my necro, im gonna get that bastard soon. just need a charm to last full duration. hardest part i'm finding is getting him solo, the dragoons agro with him 90% of the time. just figured out that i could snare him and run him away, then feign and have him stay there while i go charm foreman. will die very soon!

You can definitely dispell malo but not shaman slow. It used to be cure disease-able but that was fixed a few months ago.

IIRC the only way to get rid of slow in classic was dispell. The disease counter cure removal method was added sometime in later expansions. As far as I know, you can currently dispell any player cast debuff.

Cliff golem is proving to be quite the proverbial bitch to do as a necro. just had a good attempt and got him to 25% but i'm starting to think it might not be possible without some use of clickies. Once i get scent resist debuff on him I can land plague, splurt, pyrocuror on him well enough, but no matter what I do i can't quite get enough dps on him to keep up with how fast he kills the foreman. suppose with a CH stick or soulfire I could probably do it as long as charm holds out long enough but I'd like to get it done without clickies!

I might try one more time, try to preserve more mana for the end of the fight (or I might be able to burn an EE and infuse before I do this so I don't lose dot dps at the beginning saving mana), and tap tank him for the last bit through the enrage.

Could use some advice and encouragement! I'm determined to down this beast. I'm loving this solo challenge stuff. I'd like to see more necros stepping up to the plate on this one! Foreman's all set up right now with some weapons heh.

Can you keep another charmable mob rooted somewhat close to the battle? That way, once he kills one pet you can charm the second pet. This approach may let you slow down on your dot DPS and save some mana too.

I wish I could give more advice but I don't know necro very well. What about healing your pet during the fight? Secondly what about putting a lifetap dot on cliff golem, then stepping in to tank him and chaining lifetap.. Like I said this might be crazy but I just don't know the class.

is cazel an enc epic mob? if so, Loraen said in the OP that he's leaving out epic mobs since he doesn't want to create a bottle neck for them. some are on the list
because they are especially hard (ragefire, ixi) and are farmable. if theres a non-bottleneck (ie not a 7 day spawn, etc) mob that you think is especially hard and should be on this list, i'd be fun to read about at the very least

pretty sure he just spawns naturally with a plain old whip sometimes, he should drop the whip if killed. might put a tash stick on him if i try the cliff golem later, gl tho, can't wait to hear how ur next try goes
