So if everyone except for someone who likes whirl spamming people in average gear decides it sucks...

Having to wear max magic in every slot and then even still getting rooted is stupid even in a custom sense.

Given lag on opening weekend and a hasty banning of our guild and failure to comply with server/project policy.. he doesn't hold much weight for me on what's good for this server or not right now. Besides, Nilbog is the project manager let him say it.

If no intentions exist to ever change this.. I'm good and done helping red. Yay for you!

Nilbog already told you that the red server is Rogean's and he is the guideing hand behind it.

Realistically, my contribution in regards to content is complete. The content exists, and works well. When the upcoming content is released, you will enjoy a more complete implementation from being thoroughly tested on the pve server.

For the people claiming that I don't do anything: The pvp server is Rogean's. The pve server is mine. We share several responsibilities for them, but when it comes to rule changes or release dates for the pvp server, Rogean is who you need to address. My vote regarding pvp does matter, I hope, but ultimately I do not make the final call for pvp changes involving releases or rules. For example, I liked item loot and thought teams would be cool to try out. In the end, it was a discussion between Rogean, Null, and myself.

I have tried, several times, to gauge interest in what needs changing. I have voiced my opinion and did the related work as I could. Things like guard assist, certain items not dropping that should, manastone working in the planes, etc. This is additional work on top of what I already do for the pve server. Regardless of what I did, I received more negative feedback than positive: Wasn't enough, wasn't fast enough, or whatever sounds the worst.

IMO what needs to happen for pvp changes: Untrolled discussion. Cohesion of realistic ideas. If I were to guess, Rogean doesn't respond to most of these threads because of how the topics are addressed and what people say about him.

It is literally impossible to get whirled with 120MR, its something like 103% chance of being resisted.

I've seen no evidence that supports max mr gear not resisting most roots. All I've heard is tall tales about the good ol days and stories of being rooted and killed when up against multiple casters solo. I'm open to evidence. I posted pvp guide from a rogue on tz or vz during 60 cap. He says MINIMAL mr is 140 to resists most roots. His guide is very detailed. No where do I see this 70 mr made up statistic of being immune to root. Put up facts orr hush.

How about someone with 60 magic resist not 120. I said average gear my dear selective reader.

Lay down and give up when the chips are down and people are being critical is a great strategy. You'll sure show them!

pvp in classic EQ was better than it is here. If you didn't play there, you wouldn't know. Most of you didn't even play there, or weren't old enough. Then the other half of you against MR seldom even pvped here or reached max level. There didn't need to be changes to the classic system, thats the fact of the matter. Casters were still a threat and perfectly viable in pvp even up to the end of velious when melee became so beast. A good caster didn't need to rely on root. Knowing how to play your class and not let melee beat your face in was always a good strat. It can be here too.... or we can just leave root spam in as the primo tactic!
